Terms of Service

By accessing or using the HairHop platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users of the platform, including customers who book appointments and providers (salons and stylists) who list their services.

HairHop is an online marketplace that connects customers with salons and independent stylists. We facilitate the discovery and booking of hair services, but we are not a hair salon and do not employ the stylists listed on the platform. The contract for any hair service is between the customer and the provider. HairHop is not a party to that agreement.

To make or receive bookings, you must create an account. You agree to: • Provide accurate and complete information • Keep your password secure and confidential • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

When you book an appointment through HairHop, you are entering into a direct agreement with the salon or stylist. Each provider may have their own cancellation policy, which will be displayed before you confirm your booking. HairHop is not responsible for no-shows, late arrivals, or disputes arising from the service provided. If you have a dispute with a provider, please first contact them directly. We are happy to assist in resolving issues where possible.

Where payment is processed through HairHop, all transactions are handled securely via our payment provider, Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Refunds are subject to the individual provider's cancellation policy. HairHop's platform fee is non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.

If you list your business on HairHop as a salon or stylist, you agree to: • Maintain all required licences, registrations, and insurance • Provide accurate information about your services, pricing, and availability • Honour bookings made through the platform • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and manage your calendar responsibly • Comply with all applicable Australian consumer protection laws

Customers may leave reviews following a completed appointment. Reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on a genuine experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise violate these terms. By submitting any content (reviews, photos, messages) to HairHop, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

You agree not to: • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose • Create fake accounts or submit false reviews • Scrape, copy, or redistribute any content from HairHop • Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security feature • Use the platform to send spam or unsolicited communications to providers or customers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HairHop's liability for any claim arising out of your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to HairHop in the 12 months preceding the claim. HairHop is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of any service provided by a listed salon or stylist, or for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise act in a way that is harmful to other users or to HairHop. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@hairhop.com.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
